Chelsea Townhouse

This mid-19th century terraced house belongs to returning clients who share our love for bold textile pairings. Despite being in the heart of bustling Chelsea, the property has a calming, tranquil feel. As the house had been largely stripped of its original features, we reinstated the fireplace, cornicing, architraves and panelling throughout. Opening the kitchen and living room allowed us to create a sociable space for dining around a curved, upholstered banquette alongside bespoke kitchen cabinetry.

On the third-floor landing, we added a rear extension where we created the cosiest of guest rooms with a bed 'nook'. The wardrobe appears to be freestanding but is in fact fitted and carefully proportioned so that the woollen bed curtains can rest behind it. An upholstered custom headboard, blind, valance and fabric-lined wardrobe give this small but impactful space a delightfully cocooning feel.
