About Us
Lonika Chande
Lonika founded her award-winning studio in 2017. Her expressive and uplifting interplay between colour and pattern quickly captured the attention of the design industry, earning Lonika House & Garden’s inaugural The List Award for Design Talent in 2020, and a spot on its prestigious Top 100 Designers list in subsequent years.
Lonika derives enormous satisfaction from conceiving spaces to enhance the lives of those who inhabit them. She marries strong technical knowledge with a playful design signature that is constantly evolving. The way she mixes antique and contemporary pieces alongside curated art ensures that every setting is utterly unique.
It was an itinerant childhood in a family of creatives that helped to hone Lonika’s eye. Her mother, the painter Lucy Dickens, expressed flair in decorating the family’s homes, while her grandmother was an antiques dealer who nurtured her affection for vintage treasures. This inspired Lonika to study Architectural Interior Design at The Inchbald School of Design before embarking on a career with two leading London interior design firms.
The Studio
Lonika is supported by a dedicated and experienced design team who share her attention to detail. In order for Lonika to maintain a hands-on approach and build meaningful relationships with clients, the team works collaboratively on a small number of projects. The studio is located in Clapham Old Town, south-west London, and is an inviting and creative space for design meetings.
